About Us
Cormeton Dive Support in its present form has been established since 2005, originally being part of Cormeton Fire Protection. For the last 30 years we have tested and maintained high pressure cylinders for various industries. In 1991, due to ever increasing requests from divers to test their cylinders, we applied to IDEST and became an authorised cylinder testing facility (no. 2Y).
In the intervening time Cormeton Dive Support has built up an excellent reputation and rapport with its customers.
We have always strived to assist every one of our customers to the best of our ability and by doing so we have been able to offer over 30 years worth of knowledge and experience gained within the industry.
Our policy at Cormeton Dive Support has always been to get to know our customers, advise them and learn from them to enable us all to enjoying the sport of diving.
This rapidly developed, with more and more divers coming to us for technical help etc, but many of these were asking the same question;
"Why don't you become our local dive shop?"
So in December 2005 we did!
Since then our reputation as being a helpful, friendly and knowledgeable dive centre has flourished.
Cormeton Dive Support has since grown to become the North East's Premier Dive Centre, being one of only a few UK based dive centres to offer the "Full Package" i.e. from people wanting to learn to dive, to divers wanting to continue with their training and progress further, to Equipment Sales and Advice, Cylinder Testing, Dry-Suit Repairs, Regulator Servicing, to gas of all different flavours, Organised Dive Trips, Boat Dives, and Dive Holidays etc etc
